Pressures from heavy recreational use, together with run-off pollution caused by agrochemicals and other sources, has caused many of our waterway systems to suffer from algae blooms, odours, fish mortality, declining biodiversity and invasive aquatic weeds and plants.
The Natural Way: LLMO is a natural, biological means of algae control. A special bacterial formulation that directly feeds on the nitrates and phosphates in the water and out-competes algae for its food source.
LLMO does not poison algae like chemicals but will immediately start working to provide visible and measureable changes depending on the severity of the problem. Results can usually be seen within one to four weeks of the start of treatment and its effectiveness is beneficial for water quality, fish, wildlife, and desirable aquatic plants and grass and is completely non-toxic. Terraqua will calculate the exact volume of LLMO required to treat your watercourse successfully.
Floating Structures: Floating islands, reedbeds and treatment systems are designed to blend in with the existing waterscapes in strategic locations where performance can be optimised. Terraqua systems can be configured along the edge of the waterway, or centrally as islands or archipelagos.
