Land & Water's considerate approach to construction allows it to undertake sensitive environmental contracts. This approach has led to it utilising Environmentally Considerate Lubricants (ECL) in all its specialist plant, these are endorsed by the Environment Agency.

The over development of the countryside means that increasing areas require protection to ensure the preservation of habitat and wildlife.

Flow enhancement scheme on the River Kennet, Wiltshire

 

Land & Water has been involved in many restoration and enhancement works in Sites of Special Scientific Interest.

  

The River Kennet in Wiltshire required flow-increasing measures to save the unique river habitat. After detailed studies of the riverbank to highlight areas of water vole habitat, Land & Water were employed to install berms, revetment and flow deflectors to restore the natural balance of the river.

The use of Land & Water specialist long reach excavators enable environmentally sensitive work to be carried out with minimum disruption to bank habitats
