Partnering

The Land & Water Group is committed to the partnering approach, and this ethos runs through the entire business.

Land & Water carries out approximately 85% of its contracting work within partnered relationships and has a particularly good understanding of “The Engineering and Construction Contract Option C”.

Recent contracts carried out using this approach include our term contract as British Waterways’ dredging contractor, under which we carry out approximately 20 individual contracts per annum, and the Channel Tunnel Rail Link 320, where we are carrying out approximately £10m of deep excavation and disposal, using the ECC Option C with both clients.

In relation to the above, we have developed an electronic project costing system which transfers the daily costings of each and every project to our own server where the information is computed and calculated automatically. This information is then available not only for our own use but can also be accessed by clients through a secure extranet site.

It is this transparency of cost and rapid data availability that enables Land & Water (and our clients) to respond rapidly to changes on projects and enjoy informed decision making at all levels.
