Planted with UK provenance plants, British Seeds harvested from British Rivers, the plants growing in coir rolls are only released from our nursery when they are showing signs of quality root growth.The Nursery, set on the edge of the North Downs in Surrey is unique in its location and the way the plants grow.

None of our plants are artificially fertilised, nutrients for growth coming from the nutrient rich water from an adjacent fish farm.

The coir roll nursery not only produces hardy plants ready for growth but also helps recycle the water from the fish farm ensuring discharges of nutrients are below the Environment Agencies guidelines.Pre planted coir rolls are grown with a general species mix of Carex Acutiformis, Iris Pseudacorus, Phalaris arundinacea and Juncus effusus with 6 plants per linear metre.

Specific made to order rolls can be planted but will take 6 to 8 weeks to mature depending on the time of year.
