Looking to add a lake, pond or significant water feature to your garden or Estate? Then Land & Water Private Clients is the answer
Land & Water Private Clients is part of the Land & Water Group working with all types of lakes and ponds throughout England. The Private Clients division offers a wealth of practical water management knowledge gained from experience over the years and has the added benefit, where necessary, of being able to draw on the professional expertise from within the Land & Water Group.
Working with home and estate owners to plan, design, construct and maintain lakes, dams, bridges, walkways, and even complete hydro power systems, a summary of the Company’s services are listed below and can be found in more detail on the pages above.
Pond and Lake Construction: By looking at your natural water source, investigating possible use of land-drains, grey water and reed beds or the installation of a borehole, Land & Water can advise and assist you in gaining the necessary planning and any other regulatory requirements. All construction work is carried out using the Land & Water Group’s resources.

Pond and Lake Dredging: Varying dredging methods are employed using The Group’s versatile and adaptable fleet of equipment. From long-reach excavators either on the bank or sited in a pumped out water-way through to floating excavators on pontoons with tugs and hoppers or even using suction dredging equipment- Land & Water can find a method to suit most situations.
Dam Repairs: With many years of experience in building and the repair of dams of all sizes, Land & Water are well versed in all aspects of dam maintenance and repairs. One of the major problems are leaks due to erosion or other damage and The Group offers a number of reparation solutions including grouting, cut-off walls, spillway repairs, overflow improvements or sheet piling.

Revetments and Erosion Control: To reduce the risks of erosion from wave-lap, currents and scouring to the bank of waterways, Land & Water can construct a natural sustainable solution using bio-engineering revetments with pre-planted coir rolls, green oak timber retaining structures and hazel faggots. This method can also be used to reinstate banks that have already slipped or even create a new bank within the water course. Additionally, a myriad of other more conventional engineering solutions can be offered, such as gabion baskets, weld mesh and stone revetment, sheet piles, nicospan geotextile revetment or green oak structures.
With all these methods Land & Water endeavours to ‘soften’ the hard engineering edge with a greener option by using the pre-planted coir rolls or oak walling boards to the front of the structure.

Oak Bridges, Board Walks and Fishing Platforms: Constructed and installed on site in any combination of bespoke sizes to suit your requirements.
Land Drains: To help drain wet areas of land, The Group can install land drains allowing the water from those drains to be used to improve the water flow into your pond or lake.
Feature Ponds: Where a client requires something a little different for their lake, Land & Water suggest the addition of fountains and lights, footpaths and perimeter landscaping features or the creation of natural swimming pools.
Construction of Reed Beds and Wetlands: For the most environmentally friendly water treatment and purification of treatment plants and runoff water
