Land & Water Remediation have been established as a specialised contractor in the treatment, reuse or disposal of liquid or sludge wastes.

Formally a division of LAWS, LAWR holds specialist Environment Agency and SEPA, Waste Management Licences, and several UK and European Patents for sludge and soil treatment.

Land & Water Remediation own and operate a number of highlyspecialised items of plant necessary for undertaking complex contracts.

These include transportable soil and sludge treatment plants, excavator mounted mixers and attachments, and modified plant equipped with scrubbed air ventilation to ensure the safety of staff in often hostile environments.

Contracts undertaken include the treatment and disposal of heavily contaminated and toxic sediments, the treatment and handling of sludges from the petrochemical and water industries and thestabilisation and reuse of contaminated sludges and soils from lagoons, watercourses and civil engineering projects.Contaminated soils, sediments and sludges require remediation if they are to disposed of to landfill or beneficially reused under Waste Management Regulation Exemptions.

Special Wastes, Hazardous Wastes and Non Hazardous Wastes on remediation schemes require pre-treatment before disposal or beneficial reuse.
