Civil and environmental engineering experts Land & Water has achieved the coveted Health and Wellbeing Good Practice Award as part of the Investors In People (IIP) standard against which it was assessed. The company’s Managing Director, Adrian Gascoyne described it as a “proud moment” for everyone in the business’ 25-year history.
The UK-based company already follows the IIP framework as standard for Leadership, Support and Improvement within the company, both to ensure it treats its staff well and improve its business practices.
IIP is the global standard for people management. As part of its assessment of Land & Water, it surveyed 72 members of staff via email and 16 individually.
This achievement comes shortly after Land & Water achieving the Silver award in the internationally-renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards, the longest-running industry awards scheme in the UK. Receiving entries from organisations around the world, this scheme considers all advancements in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workplace involvement.
Managing Director Adrian Gascoyne said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Land & Water, the perfect recognition for our brilliant and hardworking team, and we are very proud! As a company we believe investing in our staff, especially their health and wellbeing, is central to our future growth and success.
Our people are our greatest and most valued asset and this award shows how serious we are in ensuring they have long, happy and rewarding careers within the company.
It is a really exciting time at Land & Water as the business is growing and we are gaining new clients.
We believe this accreditation will not only help us further build the business but will give reassurance to our current and future clients that we are committed to excellence and delivering outstanding results.
Our accreditation lasts for the next three years and, in line with IIP’s recommendations, we will continue to make improvements in people management throughout the organisation."
