Recent Commercial Projects

Taplow Foot Bridge Installation

Taplow Foot Bridge Installation

Where access provides an obstacle for some, it doesn’t for Land & Water. We recently completed a project on behalf of Berkeley Homes who needed to install a footbridge that would span the River Thames onto Ray Mill Island. Although access to this section of the development site was limited and construction of the bridge from land where impossible, Berkeley Homes knew they would rely on Land & Water to find an efficient solution.

King Point Marina Wave Gate Pontoon Installation

King Point Marina Wave Gate Pontoon Installation

Where projects are limited by budget, Land & Water can find solutions that are not only reliable but cost-efficient too. We recently completed a project on behalf on Sutton Harbour Holdings plc who needed a robust, reliable and cost-effective solution that would fully protect Millbay’s historic inner basin in the sometimes-extreme weather conditions.

One Stop Dredging Solutions at Carnwath Road

When your project is bound by regulations, Land & Water will take charge of compliance to ensure your project continues at pace. Our recent dredging works at Thames Tideway Tunnel’s Carnwath Road site were influenced by the fish spawning season. By engaging early on with stakeholders, we were able to find a compliant dredging solution that meant the project wasn’t bought to a halt.

What makes Land & Water Different?

Stakeholder Engagement

Understanding the needs of critical stakeholders should be a part of your project planning right from the beginning. Often, contractors only think about the issues when something goes wrong. But, if you are pro-active, genuine and clear, you’ll find that your project progresses more smoothly.

At Land & Water, we know project managers sometimes don’t have the time to manage stakeholders or even know who to engage with. That’s why when you involve us early in your project, we’ll take care of stakeholder management for you. From leasing with local councils to training on-site staff to engage with passers-by and getting the community involved, Land & Water ensure your stakeholders are happy so you don’t have to.

Budget Management

We understand that all projects are restricted by budget and as a result, you might feel like you can’t afford the solution.

That’s why at Land & Water, we offer value engineering solutions; helping you to review new or existing projects in the design phase to reduce costs and increase functionality; ensuring your project goes ahead without costing more than you can afford.

Compliance Management

Every project is bound by rules and regulations and the larger the project is, the bigger headache it becomes. However, remaining compliant to these rules and regulations is crucial to the smooth running of your project and to ensure your project is a success.

At Land & Water, we remove the headache for project managers by helping to manage your project compliance. In many cases, you might not know what regulations you need to abide by and what rules apply. So we take care of this for you, ensuring all of our activity abides by requirements.

Solving Access Issues

Sometimes gaining access to your development site isn’t straight forward. Especially when the project requires the use of large and heavy machinery.

At Land & Water, we make things easy for project managers by finding workable access solutions when others may not be able to. If your project is in a restricted location, our unique ability to work in the areas where land and water meets means we’re able to find compliant and efficient solutions to access problems that ensure your project goes ahead as planned.

Our work with Berkeley Homes

At Land & Water, we find innovative solutions to complex projects. See how we worked with Berkeley Homes to install a footbridge across the River Thames at Taplow.

"Working with Land & Water was great! After an initial tendering process the decision was made to appoint Land & Water to carry out the delivery and placement of Taplow Footbridge onto its final position across the River Thames. This will greatly enhance the development at Taplow and is a credit to Berkeley and the contractors involved in the process."

Nick Page-Smith, Operations Director at Berkeley Homes
