Our Assistant Resource Manager Jack Hornsby has been at Land & Water for almost eight years now and his current role as Assistant Resource Manager sees him look after the in-house pool of labour including Operatives.
Jack's duties include day to day logistics and line management for the whole of our hourly paid staff as well as looking after the Land & Water fleet. He enjoys ensuring that everyone on site is safe and happy, and with approximately 70 members to speak to on a daily basis this is quite a job. Jack's role is UK wide and he says that “getting to travel to different sites and seeing the impact that our input is having on the different project teams is really amazing”. He also loves that no two days are ever the same.
There isn't really a person that Jack doesn't know. We pride ourselves on building trusted relationships internally and externally and it's great to see Jack upholding these values.
He also plays a large part in Land & Water's Mental Health and Wellbeing team and regularly works alongside our Health and Wellbeing Director to write articles for our wellbeing forum and support the positive mental health of our team.
Jack joined Land & Water as he felt the company had a clear 'why'. He said, "There is a clear just cause and environmental commitment. You can physically see the good we, as a company, are making and it's great to be part of a firm that is prioritising sustainable solutions."
"Working for Land & Water means that you are helping to make a difference. It is more than just a fair company; here, you're part of a family that cares deeply about doing the right thing."
From modifying our plant so that it is more environmentally friendly to designing projects to reduce carbon footprint, we are proud to be leading the way when it comes to creating positive change.
